The Price He Paid

"The Price He Paid"
   by Luke Putz

He hung there bare,
The world did stare,
His death would save,
Them from the grave.
They did not care.

While nailed to wood He drew them in,
The sins of all. Then, now, to be.
He saw them all, each single sin,
Flashed through His mind each one did see.

In sin He watched them live,
They knew not what was true,
"Dear Father please forgive,
They know not what they do."

Fairness

"Fairness"
   by Luke Putz

What is life's greatest lie?
We say that life is fair.
And even though we try,
Nobody stops to stare.
Eventually we die,
Not one will stop to care,
Nor will as they pass by,
Can say "well that's not fair."

The Cost of Voting

"The Cost of Voting"
   by Luke Putz

Voting is a blood bought right,
But many see it as a chore,
They do not see what it has cost,
They do not care; it is a bore.

They do not think about the fight,
Nor of our soldiers soaked in gore,
Without their blood, all would be lost,
We'd fall through a tyranny door.

Don't waste your vote, your voice, your right,
That which we have given life for,
Make this nation, for which the cost,
That we have paid, worth dying for.

So cast your vote that evil might,
Not advance; strike at the core,
Let them know that all's not lost,
Elect good men to take the floor.

Modern Halloween Night

"Modern Halloween Night"
   by Luke Putz

The day of scare and fright,
Of treats and costumes worn,
It is only one night,
Why do so many scorn?

It is a night of glee,
Happy, filled with candy,
It should to be fun and free,
Why is it not to be?

Maybe in ages past,
It did not mean this then,
And evil did hold fast.
The day was evil then.

But now it is not so,
The meaning's past is done,
They should just let it go,
And let us all have fun.

Hello World

Hello World!

Okay I am going to admit right now that I have not considered blogging before. The point of this blog is to show the world my poetry. Rather than writing a long argumentative artical about something, I am going to try and express how I feel through poetry. I will be writing a wide variety of poetry. I hope you enjoy what I write and pass them on to your friends.

"Come with Me"
   by Luk Putz

Come with me and you will find,
Life is good and sweet and kind,
Though I show you darkness too,
I'll still show there's hope for you.
As I write, present my case,
I will show, we live in grace.
